Abstract
A tracer study focusing on the employability, transition to employment and relevance of the course to current employment was conducted among Batangas State University, Bachelor of Industrial Technology (BIT) graduates of Alangilan Campus from 2008 to 2012. It also focused on determining the adequacy of skills and competencies acquired during the pre-service education and training provided by the university as well as the relevance of the curriculum to the urgent and inevitable needs brought by various developments such as internationalization of standards of higher education programs and the ASEAN 2015 Integration. The findings revealed high employment rate of the graduates both locally and internationally. The skills and competencies provided were evaluated as adequate and relevant to current jobs as well. Meanwhile, it is viewed that the Bachelor of industrial Technology undergraduate curriculum though still relevant needs to be enhanced to be at par with the International Standards.
