Abstract
The study is based on the refrigeration equipment of a food supply chain company. The Group is a specialist in the transport and logistics of fresh and frozen products, and wanted to have a report drawn up on its energy requirements and to undertake action plans to reduce the electricity consumption of its equipment. The main objective of this study is to evaluate the energy performance of two machine rooms, in order to determine whether it would be possible to share certain equipment. The secondary objective is to optimise engine room 7 with the aim of improving its energy performance. The audit predicted an economic gain on equipment maintenance close to 30,000€/year, with a significant reduction in the environmental impact of this site. In addition, this energy audit has identified additional areas for improvement in machine room 7, which could lead to additional energy savings equivalent to €16,600 and a potential reduction of 15 tons of CO2 emissions.
