Abstract
The present study was carried out in tehsil Ssargoda Province Punjab in November 2011. The major objectives were to see the impact of water and fertilizer on per acre yield of kinnow in the project area. Purposively 20 union councils from Tehsil Sargodha were selected on the basis of more number of kinnow plantations in the project area. Due to time and financial constraints ten growers from each union council were chosen on random bases. Total 200 respondents were interviewed through interview schedule. Simple percentage and chi-square techniques were used for the purpose of analysis. The results show that there is a close association between water applications and fertilizer application, with per acre yield of kinnow. It was recommended that sufficient water should be made available for irrigation to the farmers at proper time. Drip irrigation is recommended to save the water and to overcome the shortage of water. Similarly fertilizers should be made available to the kinnow growers at proper time, conveniently located centers and subsidized price by the department of agriculture.
